Tom Godwood

Hello, my name is Tom Godwood and I have recently graduated with a BA Acting degree, from The University of Wales Trinity Saint David. The three years I spent at University were some of the most enjoyable years of my life so far. I developed my passion and met some very talented lecturers and directors who taught me a vast amount; I also met incredible friends who no doubt will be friends for life.

 

I was raised on the North Devon and Cornwall border were there was not a lot of opportunities within the theater, this put me on the back foot in a lot of ways but made me far more driven to achieve my dream of being a jobbing actor.

 

I am an eccentric, polite and friendly person. I have very good interpersonal skills and am always the person my friends go to when they have a problem.

 

My hobbies include watching films, reading and theatre, I enjoy stand up comedy and am constantly writing quotes and jokes down for inspiration. I am currently in the process of putting my first stand up routine together.

 

I have a huge passion for martial arts, from a young age I have attended martial arts classes, this has been a huge part of my life and has helped me with my degree. The thing I find most fascinating about martial arts is the way the smallest moves can have the most damaging impacts which to me relates a lot to acting, as sometimes less is more.

 

I have just finished a childrens theatre tour called 'The Reluctant Dragon' with a graduate theatre company called Blackout Theatre Co and it has been a huge success. so much so that we have been offered to do it again next year.
